Don't Miss the ‘Reflections of Ramadan' Art Exhibit This Month
Ramadan is a time for reflection and giving, and in the spirit of Ramadan the Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre will be hosting a special art exhibition called ‘Reflections of Ramadan’ between 17 May and 17 June 2017. The exhibition will showcase the work of ten artists who are all based in the UAE.
More than 24 artworks will be on display and capture many different Islamic styles, ranging from traditional water colours to modern abstract works, including oils, prints, drawings and mixed media. The artists on show include Angela Abou Alwan who has lived in Dubai since 1969 and favours oils and pastels; Hessa Almualla who has only discovered her passion for painting in the last year; Jeff Scofield who has been in Dubai for more than 10 years and uses salvaged materials in his work; Khawla Al Falasi who was born in Dubai and is known for hyper realistic works; Nahida Beshara who is inspired by her travels to create beautiful pieces; Noora Taher who is a UAE national and creates inspired landscapes; Waleed Al Taleb who is a photographer and also a painter; Zaahirah Muthy who explores all sorts of different media in her abstract work and Zahra Gulraiz who is championing Arabic words in modern artwork.
The Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre have previously held various art exhibitions each quarter, so this particular one will be no exception. The hotel is keen to highlight and help develop the local art scene by providing support to both artists and art organisations.
